Sonnenhof in Seeshaupt

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sonnenhof last week. The waitress was very attentive, assigned a seat and took the order. The ambience is very nice. Wood construction atmosphere mixed with great details. We both order the burger. This was just awesome. Fresh ingredients, great sauce and very tasty brioche. In addition, the sweet potatoes are deep-fried to the point. Thank you for the lovely evening! Conclusion: we'll be back.

We ate very tasty and pleasant here. Both the home-style and Croatian cuisine were very tasty and the waiters were very nice and courteous. Since we couldn't each take three main courses, we will probably have to stop by again soon - and we are very happy to do so!

We were there tonight just wanted to have a bite to eat. Unfortunately we were treated very, very unfriendly there. We were probably not the right clientele. It's a shame that the ambience is otherwise very nice and the food is also good. But the nice gentleman who served us, as I said, was very rude. We definitely won't recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately, the two pans with cheese sparrows were totally burned. On the advice: the food was burned, the boss said seriously: thank you. Too bad, otherwise we usually eat well here.

Very nice service. Prices are okay, but large portions. But the most important thing is that the food tastes delicious. Hygiene measures were observed during Covid19.

This is how eating is fun! Super service, delicious food, nice large terrace for summer, cozy warm inside for winter. We have been here a few times already and with Bavarian as well as Croatian delicacies always more than satisfied, better said, we are regularly enthusiastic! Great things like lamb, asparagus or other seasonal delicacies are always waiting for you on the weekly menu! Keep it up!

Were at the Sonnenhof restaurant for the first time and are torn between whether there will be a repeat visit. Let's start with the positive. The service is flawless, friendly and attentive, even special requests or changes to the dishes (instead of spaetzle we wanted fried potatoes) was not a problem. Outdoor seating is comfortable and there is enough space to sit next to the table. The dishes themselves were ok in the portions and moderate in price. Also as far as the cleanliness of the toilets or guest room was concerned, there was nothing to complain about. We didn't like the noise level, which is due to the location of the restaurant. We are now at the negative points. The restaurant is located directly on the through road and you really get everything the traffic has to offer including exhaust fumes if you want to sit outside when the weather is nice. From the meal, the beef broth with liver dumplings was extremely bland. From a purely visual point of view, it already looked thin / light, which unfortunately was confirmed in terms of taste. There was simply no more spice. The roast pork with crust in dark beer sauce was delicious and the mixed salad was also served. The potato dumplings, on the other hand, lacked flavor again. Salt and pepper are on the table, but that's not always enough to get flavor in the dishes. The turkey breast with mushroom cream sauce and fried potatoes was acceptable, but not world class either. Perhaps it happens at a different time when you happen to be around trying a new dish from the menu. But drive a lot of kilometers, no - probably not, because the negative points prevail. Update: When visiting again, the Sonnenhof convinced with all dishes. So upgrade the stars from 3 to 5.

The service was good, the tables were not the tidiest. The Croatian food was good, especially the meat dishes. However the vegetarian dishes were not the best of the lot. However, I would recommend the place. It's an ideal summer lunch haunt.

Great food and friendly stuff. It's worth a visit for Bavarian food and international food.

After a nice drive around the lake, we stopped here for an early lunch. I was not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful Bavarian dishes. It is quite a traditional place, and being so was full of reserved tables on the day I had visited.
